48 F. and drizzle here. 4 C. and drizzle in P.S. The icebreker Samuel Risley left port today for Sarnia. She will eventually go to Thunder bay to open the port for spring shipping. The ice fishermen and snowmobilers will be grumbling again. The Coast Guard said the ice conditions were light this year. That probably means an early break up.
About Me
We are into our 59th year on the South Channel. About 35 years at our present location, where every thing that moves on the South Channel passes our doorstep. The cottage is a work in progress, hand built by us from scratch. Before building on a lot puchased from The Archers, now Craganmor Point, we leased an Archer cottage for about ten years. We spent our earlier years at the family cottage located at the western tip of Seven Mile Bay. We feel very fortunate that we can spend six months of the year living on the channel.

The geese are heading north over lake Ontario in big numbers. It looks like spring is near! The ice fishermen can continue to grumble. We are hoping for an early ice break-up and looking forward to being on the South Channel. Thanks for the update.
