Western New York's week of winter is over. We are back up to 45 F. P.S. is holding the ice with -1 C. temp, but the change has begun. None too soon for me. The USACE lake level report for March is out. A very slight improvement in levels in February, but not enough to make any real difference for mid-summer levels. Still predicted to be close to the 2005 levels. February precipitation for Huron-Michigan was slightly above average, but the total supply of water was about half the normal amount.
About Me
We are into our 59th year on the South Channel. About 35 years at our present location, where every thing that moves on the South Channel passes our doorstep. The cottage is a work in progress, hand built by us from scratch. Before building on a lot puchased from The Archers, now Craganmor Point, we leased an Archer cottage for about ten years. We spent our earlier years at the family cottage located at the western tip of Seven Mile Bay. We feel very fortunate that we can spend six months of the year living on the channel.
