The doctors wanted to wait for a few days before trying to remove excess fluids from his system using the dialysis machine, but decided that he couldn't wait until then because of his declining blood oxygenation situation. The downside to this is that dialysis tends to drop the patients blood pressure, and Stan can't afford that right now. The doctors will be ready to quickly administer norepinephrine during the dialysis treatment to elevate his blood pressure if necessary. The dialysis session is expected to be finished at 5:00 PM.
