Forest Health
BioForest Technologies has contracted with the township to monitor the general health of our woodlands. A team of local volunteers assists transportation, placement and retrieval of insect traps.
The BioForest Technologies site can be used to access regular reports from BioForest, pertinent leaflets concerning forest pests and disease, pest alerts and other very useful topics.
Long term monitoring of forest health plots is being carried out by volunteers. In conjunction with this lichens are being monitored by one team. This is part of an air quality study.
