Brent made this shot on January 9th. What a sight! He reports that the ice is 12-15 inches thick at his place on Kineras Bay. I was guessing that the channel would open the week after Easter. that may well be a good guess.

i love the picture... i've never seen it all covered in ice and snow. it took me a second to realize that it was the cottage--the island and the blue boat tarp gave it away.
when do you think you'll be heading there to open up?
